Whether you’re a male or female , it’s important to have a circle of friends that you can always go to in times of need. In fact, there are courses on how to form a “Women’s Circle” based on the ancient idea of the “crones circles”. You don’t have to be a certain age to do this, but it does seem more common for older women who seek these kinds of groups. I belong to a variety of online women’s groups and they are, geared to women 50+. These women are looking for validation and people who align with their thinking and desperately searching for a group that never judges. Upon Reading their stories , it becomes apparent that some are not comfortable with making decisions concerning divorce, not communicating with family members, dealing with abuse , both physical and mental , and a myriad of other issues one can experience.
The women’s groups I speak of offer one a sense of solace a comfort in knowing someone else out there is going through the same crisis. Someone in another part of the world or country is having the same difficult time. These groups can give the most isolated people a platform to communicate their pain. It takes a great amount of courage to share some of these stories because they can force someone to be honest with themselves and be open to criticism from others who don’t know anything about you, or let the door open for those who will support and sympathize with you.
If you are lucky enough to form or be a part of a Women’s Circle, you will gather with women who become your nearest and deepest confidantes. If you’re very lucky they become your tribe and without judgment will continue to support you no matter what.
I am lucky to have such a group of wonderful women who meet with me in person. They come from a variety of backgrounds and experiences. They have the most wonderful open mindedness and acceptance of each other without jealousy.
Women are often known for being jealous of each other and the lack of that jealousy in itself is refreshing.
When you have found this circle , you know you have been given a gift of a lifetime and from this phenomenon, you have an opportunity to create a strong force that will get you past life’s most difficult challenges.
So be bold, take a chance, and go out there a meet your circle. You much more to gain than lose.
